With "Ip Man 2" movie showing in the cinema now, the Wing Chun craze seems to be everywhere. So far I have seen 2 Wing Chun advertisement banner by the roadside. One is at the Pay Fong 1 Primary School, while the other is at the Bukit China roundabout. Anyhow, here are the details about the class except I do not know how much is the learning fee.
Traditional Wushu Style : Wing Chun (Hong Kong version)
Venue : Malacca Seng Cheong Society at Tengkera, Melaka
Day : Thursday and Saturday
Time : 8:00 till 10:00pm (2 hours/session)

Why is everyone flocking to learn wingchun? No one came to inquire about Hongquan in Malacca Teochew Association. Not that I'm jealous of wingchun but both are equally good.
ReplyDeleteBecause now the monsoon wind of wingchun is blowing throughout the world. Just can help it. But at least the world once again giving its attention to traditional chinese kung fu. Same to me as well, nobody inquire to learn tanglang quan because there is no movie on tanglang quan at the moment. Besides of that, if you were to watch those mid 70s and early 80's kungfu movie. tanglang quan were always the bad guy in the movie.

I do not know if my students will want to have a second class the day after though. Indeed it will depend on how they will like it or not. I will have 8 girls and 9 boys.
If my girls do not want to have a second class, is that possible that you propose them another class of another martial art (like aikido, Tai-chi,...)?
